Radcliffe Academy was established in 1995. It’s owners are Penny and Perry Leonard.
Penny Leonard, a preschool teacher, is the creative force behind Radcliffe Academy. She envisioned a small family style preschool that provided an exemplary educational program.
Perry Leonard is the administrative and academic arm of Radcliffe. Using more than 20 years of educational experience, he guides the staff with curriculum and continuing education.
It is the philosophy of Radcliffe Academy that children around age 3 are able to absorb an enormous amount of information. At Radcliffe children themselves determine how fast and how far they will go.
Preschool has become prep-school for kindergarten. Children are expected to have basic skills upon entrance to kindergarten. Following the State of California’s kindergarten curriculum, we make sure your child is introduced to all of the concepts they will encounter in kindergarten and some first-grade concepts.
At Radcliffe, everyone learns at their own rate. We guide a child’s interests so that they WANT to learn, then taking them as far as their abilities allow.
